Helium gas Flow meters: Gain Insight into Your Helium Consumption
Helium is one of the most expensive technical gases in the industry, costing approximately 100 times more than compressed air. The price of helium is highly volatile, with current market prices ranging between €5 and €20 per cubic meter.
As a non-renewable gas, helium is crucial for various industries, including medical, electronics, and aerospace.
For instance, helium is used in the semiconductor industry as a protective inert gas.
During the significant industrial growth spurred by the COVID-19 pandemic, helium was difficult to obtain in 2021. Fortunately, supplies have now stabilized.
However, the potential for shortages, combined with the extremely high price, means that you need to keep your helium consumption as efficient as possible and prevent any loss or misuse. Helium gas flow meters monitor your usage and show you where, when, and how much helium is being used.
The innovative MASS-VIEW® mass flow meter series are a digital alternative to the conventional VA meters (variable area meters) or purge meters.
The MASS-VIEW® mass flow meter series incorporates a digital bar graph of actual gas flow, which is, thanks to the OLED (organic light emitting diode) technology, clearly visible from all angles, as well as indicating flow units, gas type and totalised figures.
The MASS-VIEW series is designed to mimic the straightforward features and vertical format of the VA meter/ball meter, but with the considerable added benefits of an electronic output signal, high measuring accuracy, virtual independence from gas temperature and pressure variations, freedom from parallax error and inherently safe construction, by eliminating fragile glass components in the flow path.
